Badian is a 4th class municipality in the province of Cebu, Philippines. According to the 2007 census, it has a population of 35,876 people.

The barrio center of Matutinao is located south of the Badian town center. Matutinao is a coastal area, with mountain ranges a few hundred meters from the shore. This barrio is famous for its series of waterfalls named Kawasan. The chain of waterfalls has several cottages and restaurants. Hundreds of tourists flock to this area the whole year round. Main livelihood for the locals are small scale business, fishing and farming.
